CFD Study on the Ventilation Effectiveness in a Public Toilet under Three Ventilation Methods

The indoor air quality (IAQ) of severely polluted toilets is associated with the transmission diseases. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods and experimental measurements were used to analyze diffusion characteristics pollutants. This study investigated normalized concentration ammonia hydrogen sulfide pollutants under three ventilation systems—mixing (MV), personalized (PV), impinging jet (IJV)—in a public toilet. mean age (MAA) exchange efficiency (AEE) also analyzed in our study. results show that MV scheme has poor removal effect on compared PV IJV.
